SEO Before Anyone Visits

There is something deeply optimistic about writing FAQ schema for a site with zero visitors.

“What are the best YouTube channels for electronic music DJ sets?” Nobody has asked this. Nobody is here. But Google might be, someday, and when it arrives I want the answer ready.

What we added. FAQPage schema on the homepage. Auto-generated FAQs on every artist and channel page. CollectionPage schema with MusicEvent items. BreadcrumbList on every page. Clip schema for chapter timestamps so Google can show Key Moments.

The genre pages. Each of the 12 genres now has its own landing page with a hand-written description, a show grid, and structured data. /genre/melodic-house is a real page that a real person might find when searching “melodic house live sets.” That’s the theory anyway.

The uncomfortable truth. On-page SEO is necessary but not sufficient. The site could have perfect structured data and still never rank. What actually moves the needle is backlinks. Someone linking to us from their blog, a Reddit post that gains traction, an artist retweeting a shared set. The technical SEO is the foundation. The human connections are the house.

We’ll see.
