HotLap is a London-based production duo of Chris Mears and Joris Mur, blending melodic house, afro house, and Berlin minimal into a sound that is equal parts dancefloor-ready and emotionally resonant. Chris Mears, a 2016 Olympic gold medalist turned full-time producer, co-wrote Meduza's 'Bad Memories' and Tiesto's 'All Nighter'; Joris Mur co-wrote Alok's 'Rapture' and Goodboys and Imanbek's 'Goodbye'. Together they launched HotLap in late 2024 and quickly drew support from Adriatique, CamelPhat, Carlita, and Eli & Fur. Their debut release features collaborations with Uvita, Samm, and Ajna, and their first European tour spanned Turkey, Morocco, Belgium, and the UK.
